Colégio Diocesano De São José (CDSJ)

School History

Colégio Diocesano De São José (CDSJ) was established in 1931 and under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Macau. Being one of the 26 Catholic schools registered by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), CDSJ is one of the earliest schools to start up a "one-stop" system in the education field.

The term "one-stop" system describes the service whereby the school offers pupils a comprehensive academic path covering 15 years. From kindergarten (age 4) to secondary school (18 years old), all students attend the same school brand. With a massive group of students recruiting over the years, CDSJ has developed into four campuses.

CDSJ School's Vision and Motto

The vision of CDSJ school is to provide whole human development. Since they are a Catholic school, they trust God creates humans and each of us is unique and special. Instead of one-size-fits-all, they trust in the power of personalised education. Therefore, the mission of education is to help each of the students find out and utilise their uniqueness and reach their highest potential.

The motto of the CDSJ school is "Labor Et Virtus", which refers to labour to find virtue. It means that they encourage students to learn by serving others. Through these experiences, they learn to explore values. At the same time, they will know, respect and be more confident about themselves. Examining their uniqueness will make it easier for them to foresee and attain their potential in the future.
