I taught the senior primary students, precisely Grade 4 (G4B) and Grade 6 (G6B) students. Usually, I follow G6B in their daily assembly as my mentor is the sub-class teacher in that class.
There were four subjects assigned to me. They included English, General Studies, Computer, and Leisure Activities (Ukulele). English was the main subject I needed to teach, prepare material and check homework. For other subjects, I only need to control the class's discipline.
In addition, I went to G6B class in self-study class and weekly assembly. Since students usually asked questions about homework during this time. I will be available once they have difficulties
This is my temporary working area as I will go around to work. For example, meeting round tables or benches in the plaza. Yet, if I need to store the homework for my students, this is the area.
In the mornings, I ask for the class agenda for both classes and mark down essential materials for each class. During lessons, I code with the students with additional needs. It includes breaking down key concepts, reciting instructions, and observing the confusion points of the students. In the afternoon, these observations will all be reflected at the meeting during Tuesday and Thursday meeting.
This is the time when I had my last check on my teaching package. Since most of the materials are prepared on the weekends, this is the time to finalise before the meeting. Finalising can be grammar checking, making copies and trimming the worksheets. These movements help meetings run smoother as there are only 2 hours.
After lunch or all-day classes, I will hold a small tutorial class. This is a small service specifically for those students who encounter difficulties in class and are observed as low-performing. I will let them ings about the class on days without questionshare their feels.
These hours between classes will be the time for homework checking. All the classwork, homework, school posters and school files must be finished.
